Pollock Joins Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (January 18, 2007) – Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts LTD announced today that Mr. Chris Pollock has joined the company. He will oversee the firm’s efforts to launch a new eco-tourism hospitality concept oriented to boating, fishing and diving enthusiasts to be known as Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts & Marinas. The company, an affiliate of IAG Florida, intends to license the Guy Harvey concept to third-party owners and developers, as well as manage and develop for its own account. Initial efforts are focused on the Bahamas, Florida and western Caribbean.
Pollock steps down after three years as President of the Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce to join Watermark. Previous to the Chamber he was General Manager of the Ft. Lauderdale Renaissance Hotel, developed by IAG Florida. Pollock will be based out of the IAG Florida offices at its Portside Yachting Center on the 17th St Causeway.
“Chris was raised in the Bahamas and has had extensive experience throughout the Caribbean so he understands the management challenges of offshore operations. While ours is a unique and exciting concept, Chris can help us navigate the rough offshore waters that certainly await us”, remarked Mark Ellert, founder of IAG and Watermark. Pollock added, “With the explosive resort growth throughout the Bahamas, I’ve wanted to return there to my hospitality roots, and this is the ideal springboard because it is so unique a product”.
IAG Florida, Inc. is active throughout Florida and the Caribbean, providing real estate advisory, brokerage and development services.
